The UNCuyo creates new bonds of internationalization with Croatia

Representatives from Croatia have met at the UNCuyo to create bonds and articulate future activities related to university and cultural internationalization. In this sense, the “Rincón de Croacia” was opened at the Central Library.

The Rector, Daniel Pizzi; the Ambassador of Croatia in Argentina, Duska Paravic; the president of the Croatian Association in Mendoza, Graciela Mihaljevic; the Coordinator of International Relations of the UNCuyo, Germán Moyano; and three counsels from the Internationalization Committee: Hugo Martinez from Engineering, Cecilia Coria from Economics and Mariel Rutler from Medicine met at the UNCuyo to settle activities and evaluate the possibility to sign agreements on join programs and projects.

This meeting was held in the framework of the “Croatia Week”, which developed several activities related to the 30 years of the bilateral relations between Argentina and Croatia.

After the meeting, they went to the Central Library where the “Rincón de Croacia” was opened with books given by the Embassy of this country.

On the other hand. Jimena Estrella talked about the importance of receiving the Ambassador and explained that the activity is part of the Croatia Week. She also pointed out that this is an offering for students, professors and others to join a community that is growing not only in Mendoza, but in the entire country.

Finally, Duska Paravic thanked the creation of the “Rincón de Croacia” which allows to show the Croatian literature and culture in Spanish.
