During the last year, many professors decided to internationalize their chairs so as to maintain and strengthen the international vision of the university community. Students also participated in the new proposals and carried on improving their international skills through programs such as “Virtual Exchanges”.

So as to make these efforts visible, the Secretariat for Research, International Relations and Postgraduate Courses presented a project to the Council to recognize UNCuyo professors and students who have international experiences. This request was accepted by the creation of the Ordinance 25/2021 by which two kinds of certificates are created: “International Professor” and “International Student”. These certificates will provide a valuable record for the student, teacher and professional training. Professors may present this certificate in tenders and also include it in their annual development evaluations. This ordinance includes professors from institutions all over the world who will be able to ask for this certificate due to their participation in international activities at the UNCuyo.

Those who are interested in having this certificate must have complied with activities of internationalization in teaching, research or extension during a period longer than 3 months. These may be face-to-face or online activities, bearing in mind the context of the pandemic. It is important to mention that this certificate is destined not only to professors or students who had participated in UNCuyo’s programs, but also to any person who can duly demonstrate academic stays or international partnerships.  Those who comply with all the requirements will be able to apply during the annual call elaborated by the SIIP.
